Engaging Business and Industry in Education

Engaging Business and Industry in Education

The salient theme emerging from the initiatives in the Second Priority is how education can equip graduates with 21st century skills that make them employable or ready to become entrepreneurs. Universities have a crucial role in doing so through collaboration with the business sector and industries. The world’s uncertain economic growth and the unprecedented advances in technology influence how our societies function currently and in the future. Against this background both dialogue is established between businesses and education in forums, workshops and conferences as well as concrete collaboration initiatives such as a work placement pilot programme.
