On\u00a018-19 October 2018<\/strong>, the\u00a012th ASEM Summit<\/strong>\u00a0(ASEM12) was succesfully held in\u00a0Brussels<\/strong>, Belgium. The ASEM Summit brought together:<\/p>\n
\n
heads of states or governments of 51 European and Asian countries<\/li>\n
representatives of the European Union<\/li>\n
the Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The summit was chaired by the European Council President Donald TUSK, European Commission President Jean-Claude JUNCKER and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica MOGHERINI, also represented the EU at the summit.<\/p>\n
Discussions focused on the theme“Europe and Asia: Global Partners for Global Challenges”<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n
