Applications sent or posted after 18 May 2020 will not be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>The DUO-Sweden Fellowship Programme was established in 2010 with the aim of promoting exchanges of people between Sweden and 21 Asian countries (Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) on a balanced basis.<\/p>\n<p>In this respect, DUO-Sweden requires that a pair (two persons) of students be exchanged in an academic cooperative arrangement. Students are defined as follows: undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled in universities.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility\u00a0Criteria<\/h3>\n<p>Due to the\u00a0unique nature of\u00a0this\u00a0program, in\u00a0order\u00a0to\u00a0be\u00a0eligible, the\u00a0following\u00a0are\u00a0required:<\/p>\n<p>Your exchange\u00a0fulfils\u00a0all three requirements below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An educational institution in Sweden (home institution) and an educational institution in Asia (host institution) have established an academic cooperative agreement\/inter-institutional agreement;<\/li>\n<li>The Swedish home institution has selected an EU national student enrolled at the home institution to send to the Asian host institution, and such selection has been accepted by the Asian host institution;<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0same\u00a0Asian host institution has\u00a0selected\u00a0an Asian\u00a0student\u00a0enrolled\u00a0at the host institution to\u00a0send\u00a0to the\u00a0Swedish\u00a0home institution, and\u00a0such\u00a0selection\u00a0has been\u00a0accepted\u00a0by the\u00a0same\u00a0Swedish\u00a0home institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Duration and Amount of DUO-Sweden Fellowships<\/h3>\n<p>DUO-Sweden 2020\/2021\u00a0applies exclusively to\u00a0exchange projects\u00a0starting\u00a0<strong>from\u00a04\u00a0August 2020 and ending\u00a0before September 2021<\/strong>.\u00a0DUO-Sweden 2020\/2021\u00a0selection\u00a0is made\u00a0only\u00a0once a year. In this respect, those who are planning\u00a0an\u00a0exchange\u00a0during the\u00a0Spring Semester 2021 (January-August 2021) shall apply for DUO-Sweden 2020\/2021.<\/p>\n<p>The duration of\u00a0fellowship\u00a0is\u00a0limited\u00a0to one\u00a0semester\u00a0(or 4\u00a0months,\u00a0whichever\u00a0comes\u00a0earlier). The\u00a0amount\u00a0of the\u00a0fellowships\u00a0is\u00a0standardized\u00a0as\u00a0follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High-income countries:\u00a03,500 Euro\u00a0per student in a pair.<\/li>\n<li>Middle-\u00a0and\u00a0low-income\u00a0countries:\u00a04,000 Euro\u00a0per Asian student\u00a0and\u00a03,000 Euro\u00a0Swedish\u00a0student.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The duration of exchange should be at least one semester and the scholarship is only available for those studying fulltime (minimum 24 ECTS\/16 weeks). Exchanges of less than one semester are not allowed.
