{"id":427,"date":"2020-10-29T15:55:26","date_gmt":"2020-10-29T13:55:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asem-education.org\/?p=427"},"modified":"2021-03-26T14:58:46","modified_gmt":"2021-03-26T12:58:46","slug":"247-asem-lifelong-learning-hub-5-year-framework-developed-during-online-asem-lll-hub-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asem-education.org\/news\/247-asem-lifelong-learning-hub-5-year-framework-developed-during-online-asem-lll-hub-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"ASEM Lifelong Learning Hub 5-year Framework Developed during Online ASEM LLL Hub Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University College of Cork hosted its first Lifelong Learning Hub Virtual Forum on 13-15 October 2020 titled\u00a0<em><strong>\u201cFuture Directions of Lifelong Learning: Creating a Vision for Lifelong Learning Research for Policy &amp; Practice in Asia &amp; Europe\u201d.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This kick-off event organized by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/asem-education.org\/news\/item\/163-irish-government-funding-for-the-asem-lll-hub\">Irish ASEM Lifelong Learning Hub Secretariat<\/a>\u00a0served to develop a\u00a0<a class=\"wf_file\" href=\"https:\/\/asem-education.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/ASEM_LLL_Hub_Draft_5-Year_Plan_v4.pdf\"><span class=\"wf_file_text\">five-year framework<\/span><\/a>. Over 100 researchers, stakeholders and policy makers from Asia and Europe participated in this three-day online event featuring presentations of the 6 Research Networks, good practices in lifelong learning, as well as discussions on the thematic focus and objectives of the Research Networks for the upcoming 5 years.<\/p>\n<p>The Forum led to the formulation and adoption of a Framework for Lifelong Learning Research in the ASEM Region for the period 2020-2025. This framework describes the Hub\u2019s mission, structure and organisation and includes a statement of intent, as well as an outline of the common research agenda for the\u00a0<strong>6 Research Networks<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-428\" src=\"https:\/\/asem-education.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Research_Networks.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1589\" height=\"622\" srcset=\"https:\/\/asem-education.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Research_Networks.png 1589w, https:\/\/asem-education.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Research_Networks-300x117.png 300w, https:\/\/asem-education.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Research_Networks-1024x401.png 1024w, https:\/\/asem-education.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Research_Networks-768x301.png 768w, https:\/\/asem-education.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Research_Networks-1536x601.png 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1589px) 100vw, 1589px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research Network 1: \u201ce-ASEM (Digital Learning Management Systems, Techno-pedagogical Skills and Knowledge Network Communities in Lifelong Learning)<\/li>\n<li>Research Network 2: \u201cWorkplace Learning\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Research Network 3: \u201cProfessionalisation of Adult Teachers and Educators in ASEM Countries\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Research Network 4: \u201cNational Strategies for Lifelong Learning\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Research Network 5: \u201cLifelong Learning Transitions\u201d\u00a0<strong><em>(new)<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Research Network 6: \u201cLearning Cities and Learning Regions\u201d\u00a0<em><strong>(new)<\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each research network will develop an operational plan for a three-year period starting from January 2021.<\/p>\n<p>All research networks are\u00a0<strong>open to new researchers<\/strong>.
