The call for applications for Wallonia-Brussels ASEM-DUO mobility grants for the academic year 2022-23 is now open. The submission\u00a0deadline<\/strong> is 28 April 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n DUO\/Wallonia-Brussels has been established\u00a0in 2014 by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation\u00a0(FW-B)\u00a0in order\u00a0to\u00a0promote exchanges of professors <\/strong>between\u00a0higher\u00a0education\u00a0institutions\u00a0(HEIs)\u00a0from Wallonia-Brussels\u00a0and Asia.\u00a0The mobility\u00a0activity\u00a0must be carried out over a period of 3 weeks to 2 months\u00a0and involves a\u00a0pair\u00a0of professors\/researchers.\u00a0Candidates do\u00a0not necessarily have to work in the same field of study.<\/p>\n As a rule, the ASEM-DUO Fellowship Programme\u00a0aims\u00a0<\/strong>at:<\/p>\n Partner countries include: Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei\u00a0Darussalam, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Pakistan,\u00a0the\u00a0Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand\u00a0and Vietnam.<\/p>\n The exchange is done by pair<\/strong>:\u00a0one professor from a Wallonia-Brussels HEI is hosted by an Asian institution, whereas an Asian professor is hosted by a Wallonia-Brussels institution. The exchange must necessarily take place between the same\u00a0two\u00a0institutions, but does not need to\u00a0unfold during the\u00a0same time span, nor between two identical departments.<\/p>\n Applicants must be members\u00a0of the academic or scientific staff of a\u00a0Wallonia-Brussels or an Asian\u00a0higher education institution\u00a0(i.e. they must be remunerated by the HEI and it must be their main occupation).<\/p>\n However, the following groups are\u00a0not entitled\u00a0<\/strong>to\u00a0a\u00a0fellowship:<\/p>\n Exemptions are possible for colleges of arts. The selection committee will\u00a0review\u00a0eligibility\u00a0on a case-by-case basis.<\/p>\n For the academic year 2022-2023 the DUO Wallonia-Brussels grants are awarded to a pair of professors for a project that should take place between 1st August 2022 and 31 August 2023.
